CHARLIE MAYFIELD

Having an ear for music at a very early age, it was only when Charlie heard Waylon Jennings play guitar that he decided to attempt making music. So, at the age of 8, he started playing guitar. At age 10, he wrote his first song. Just a year later, at 11 years old, he was playing professionally.
Not content with just the guitar, Charlie started playing keyboards to Chicago songs and soon became very
proficient on the keys as well.
Inspired by such artists as Eric Clapton, Waylon Jennings, Steve Winwood, The Eagles and Chicago, songwriting came naturally to Charlie. In 1989 he won the
coveted Nashville Songwriting Award.
Like the rest of his bandmates, Charlie soon developed an ear for recording and producing. He equipped a full-blown studio and was soon writing, recording and producing full time..
Charlie has toured extensively in the U.S. and Canada and is a sought
after studio musician.
